Dr John Madden

Dr John Madden graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1997. He worked at Launceston General Hospital with rotations in Accident and Emergency, plastic surgery and general medicine. He then went on to working at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales, furthering his experience in emergency medicine, orthopaedic surgery and general medicine, including oncology. He returned to Tasmania in 2000 to the Royal Hobart Hospital working in psychiatry, paediatrics, general medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology. He has been working at Grosvenor Street General Practice since 2010 and has an interest in managing short term health problems as well as more chronic health conditions.
Dr Madden enjoys the outdoors, bushwalking, music and reading in his spare time.

Dr Ben Clark grew up in Launceston before completing his medical degree in Hobart in 2001. He then worked in Far North Queensland and the Northern Territory before completing his General Practice training (GP) and a diploma in Child Health in Adelaide.
Dr Clark returned to Tasmania in 2016 with his partner and three young children. Outside of work he enjoys spending quality time with his family camping and bushwalking.

Dr Anna Wittert was born in the Netherlands and moved to Australia after meeting her husband. She settled down in Hobart after a long cycling trip in America. Dr Anna Wittert did her GP training with Grosvenor Street Practice and has worked with the practice since 2013.
She has 3 young children and in her free time enjoys mountain biking and most things crafty. Her favourite movie is ‘Dances with wolves’, she likes marmite better than vegemite and loves dutch liquorice.
Dr Wittert likes seeing a variety of health issues and enjoys treating patients that are happy to share a bit of their life story.

Born in South Africa, Dr Aileen de Bruyn moved to Australia as a teenager in 1988. She went to school in Launceston and then university in Hobart, graduating as a doctor from the University of Tasmania in 1998.
She spent 5 years working and traveling overseas and on the mainland and is now settled in Hobart where she enjoys bush walking in her spare time. She also enjoys dancing, gardening, reading.

Dr Sara Maloney graduated with honours in a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Tasmania in 2004. Since that time she has worked in various locations around Australia, including Alice Springs, South Australia, Tasmania and Queensland.
Dr Maloney has completed dual fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011 and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in 2012.

Dr Richard Ward completed his degree of medicine at the University of Tasmania in Hobart. He did several years training in Emergency medicine before deciding that General Practice suited him and his family better.

Dr Rekha Ratnagobal was born in Wollongong, NSW. She moved to Tasmania as a child and attended local Primary and Secondary schools. She studied medicine at the University of Tasmania with two years rurally on the North West Coast of Tasmania. She obtained her medical degree 2010. Her General Practice training was completed in the greater Hobart area becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.
Dr Ratnagobal is a busy mum to two young active boys and a dog mum to two lovely pups.
She enjoys gardening and tending to her chooks and in her rare down time enjoys video games.

Dr Alessandra (Sandy) Kraft studied medicine in Germany and worked in Auckland, New Zealand at the Starship Children’s Hospital where she met her husband.
After a few years in Western Australia, they relocated to Tasmania where Sandy has been training in General Practice and awaiting her Fellowship.
Dr Kraft enjoys spending time with her young family, exercising, music, arts and craft and a good cup of coffee.

Dr Rachael Foster attended local primary and high schools and attended university in both Hobart and Launceston, graduating from UTAS in 2010.
Dr Foster worked as a junior doctor at the Royal Hobart Hospital and completed her General Practice training in New Norfolk, Lauderdale and Melbourne obtaining her Fellowship in 2015.
Dr Foster enjoys running and caring for her beautiful 4 children.
